Whatsapp AI assistant

As part of an internal pilot project, an AI assistant was developed that enables users to access an LLM quickly and easily via WhatsApp. The main goal was to make ChatGPT available on mobile devices to quickly answer questions that might arise over the course of a day. Despite challenges in setting up a WhatsApp business account and the latency of the OpenAI API, an effective solution was implemented.

An important lesson was to gain an understanding of the technical and administrative steps required for successful integration. This included overcoming API latency issues and complying with WhatsApp Business policies. An outstanding result of this project was the development of an AI assistant with “memory.” This ability enables the assistant to provide users with an increasingly personalized and practical experience.
